The Bar
Whether you want to mingle with the locals over a pint of Harry’s cider, enjoy a glass of wine by the open fire or simply tuck into a pie with a pint of beer, The Devonshire Arms has the perfect atmosphere.
For drinks, the bar has an extensive selection of draught and bottled beers, ciders and changing local ales from the surrounding area, including Moor beer and Harry’s cider which are both brewed in the village itself.
The two-paged wine list has been carefully considered and is well-balanced with a mix of bottles from around the World.You’ll also find a good selection of spirits, liqueurs and brandy, including Burrow Hill cider brandy and Somerset Pomona.
The Restaurant
The Devonshire Arms prides itself on the quality of food produced and so it is only fitting that the atmosphere of the restaurant matches it. Tables can be arranged to cater or large parties or a romantic meal for two. With views of the village green and church, the restaurant is a great place to sit, relax, eat and enjoy everything the Devonshire Arms has to offer.
Tasty and consistently well cooked food is carefully prepared throughout the year using only the freshest produce, which is locally sourced and delivered daily whenever possible.
Dishes range from the ever popular Dorset crab crème brûlée to the more familiar rib-eye steak, duck confit and fabulous ploughman’s with local cheeses.
With a great selection of desserts such as ginger sticky toffee pudding, dark chocolate fondant and a choice of homemade ice-creams, you’ll find it hard to resist.
Breakfast
For guests staying overnight breakfast includes freshly baked croissants, local bread, and a range of cereals & yoghurts. A full English is cooked using local free range eggs, organic bacon and sausages from Sharpham Park.
Children’s Menu
A children’s menu is available every day from 12-3pm and 7-8pm.
